As an ex-prosecutor, I have tried over 120 jury trials to verdict. As a member of the law firm since 1984, my practice currently is concentrated on complex personal injury cases, medical malpractice, and product liability.
In 1992, I obtained one of the largest personal injury verdicts in the history of Brevard County for a bicyclist who had her leg run over by a tractor-trailer on the Eau Gallie Causeway. Over the past four decades, I have personally won dozens of million dollar and multi-million dollar cases throughout central Florida – in both state and federal courts.
I have been board certified by the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy for over 30 years. Double board certification is a distinction held by less than 1% of attorneys in America. I have been chosen to be recognized in The Best Lawyers in America based upon a rigorous peer-reviewed survey of attorneys throughout the United States. Additionally, I have an AV–Preeminent rating from Martindale – Hubble, and I have been chosen to be included in Super Lawyers – the top attorneys in America.
I have been very involved in the local Melbourne community. As Chairman of the Capital Campaign, I was instrumental in the building of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy upper campus and – along with my partners – have given millions of dollars to local charities including hospitals, schools, and police departments. I am a past President of the Melbourne Beach Rotary, and I was Chairman of the Police Civil Service Commission. Further, I have been a Board member of the Melbourne Police Athletic League, and I currently serve as a Cornell University Alumni Ambassador – interviewing and mentoring local high school students applying for college.
